To get inspiration I observe the animals I want to capture on the canvas. This is also the case with this Silvery-cheeked Hornbill. He was sleeping on a branch. At some point he notices that someone was watching him the whole time. His eye opened and he looked at me with a grumpy, do not disturb look. And at that moment I knew immediately how I wanted to capture him on the canvas. And also  what the painting would be called... Grumpy!
